Steering Committee Mission Statement:
The Steering Committee shall promote the sport of Ultimate in the Chattanooga area and provide an unparalleled Ultimate experience for all members of the Chattanooga Flying Disc Club, continually striving toward a deeper fellowship among members and encouraging the pure enjoyment of Ultimate.
Terms of Office are as follows:
WINTER TERM - October 1 thru February 28 (Current Term)
SUMMER TERM - March 1 thru September 30

2001 Induction Meeting: Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 6:30 PM
Winter Meeting: Thursday, October 18, 2001 - 6:30 PM
Mid-season Winter Meeting: Thursday, December 13, 2001 - 6:30 PM
Late Season Winter Meeting: Thursday, January 31, 2002 - 6:30 PM

I. President
a. Oversees entire CHATTANOOGA FLYING DISC CLUB (CFDC) operations
b. Acts as a motivating force for the Steering Committee (SC)
c. Monitors all SC functions
d. Develops and distributes six-month schedule for all SC functions
e. Plans agenda for all SC meetings
f. Presides over all meetings. (Or appoints an Officer to preside should President be unable to attend any given meeting)
g.
Assists in the development and implementation of budgeting for all
CFDC events
h.
Maintains CFDC bank account and approves and signs club
checks/expenditures
II.
Vice President
a. Oversees entire club operations along with the President
b. Responsible for keeping Officers on track with their responsibilities and duties
c. Assists Officers with their responsibilities and duties when requested
d.
Keeps an updated record of current SC members including street
addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers
e. Assumes temporary office should an Officer vacate his/her position
f.
Takes minutes of SC meetings
III.
League Coordinator
a. Develops a subcommittee to assist with the planning and development of the Chattanooga Ultimate League, including but not limited to:
1. League advertisement
2. Player recruitment
3. League program development, implementation, and distribution
i. League program should include all players and their phone numbers
ii. League program should include basic League Rules
iii. League program should include website address
4. Collection and organization of League Registration Forms and Waivers
b. Organizes and coordinates all activities related to League development and function
c. Develops and enforces League schedule, team format, and general rules for approval by the SC members (League Director shall make no changes to existing League Rules without prior approval of the SC)
d. Develops and distributes League recruitment flyers, League registration forms and waivers, and other pertinent information concerning League play

Keeps track of league registration and waiver forms
f.
Consults with Fields Chairman in order to set Summer League and
Winter League schedules, including both regular season games and the end of
season tournaments (These dates should be set as early in the year as possible)
IV.
Fields Chairman
a. Secures playing fields for the following CFDC events:
1. Summer and Winter League regular season play
2. Summer and Winter League tournament play
3. Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday pick-up games and practices
4. The Annual Shawn Adams Memorial Ultimate Tournament
b. Maintains ongoing search for more tournament and playing fields; follows up on other members’ leads about fields
c. Maintains up-to-date list of field contacts
d. Responsible for all field maintenance and creating a sub-committee to assist in the area of field maintenance
e. Develops a field maintenance budget for approval by the SC
f. Responsible for having water at each and every CFDC athletic function, including Summer League and Winter League regular season games and tournaments, and all practices and pick up games (It is advisable to delegate this responsibility to a subcommittee member)
g.
Responsible for having an appropriate number of fields coned (and
lined if necessary) for all CFDC athletic functions
V. Social Director
a. Coordinates all CFDC sponsored social functions for Summer League, Winter League, Christmas Season, and The Annual Shawn Adams Memorial Ultimate Tournament
b. Secures location for all CFDC social functions
c. Where appropriate, provides entertainment for CFDC social functions
d. Develops social activities that will enhance the fellowship of the Chattanooga Ultimate community
